At the Trento Sports Festival, Inter CEO Giuseppe Marotta was asked what Inter wanted between the Champions League and the Scudetto. The Italian manager didn’t hesitate to choose the Serie A championship. Even if the Cup with the big ears can create great emotions, he is aware that it’s a difficult quest.
“I’m already embarrassed to choose one of the two. I think we’re very competitive in the fight for the Scudetto. Clearly, winning the Champions League would be a unique emotion for all Inter fans. But to be realistic, I think it’s a difficult thing, even if it isn’t always the strongest who wins. There are also many dynamics that can have a positive impact on winning the Champions League.
