Several reports in Italy claim that Lazio have opened preliminary negotiations with Marseille to sign Matteo Guendouzi.
The Bianconcelesti are still looking for a new central midfielder after selling Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al Hilal this summer. They have recruited Daichi Kamada as a free agent and Nicolò Rovella from Juventus, but are looking for a further new recruit in midfield . Il Corriere dello Sport and Calciomercato.com claim that the Biancocelesti have now opened negotiations to recruit former Arsenal midfielder Guendouzi from Olympique de Marseille.
According to Il Corriere dello Sport, the French club have set a price of €15m for the midfielder. Discussions between Lazio and Marseille are not at an advanced stage, but Calciomercato.com claims that the player’s entourage has given the green light to Guendouzi’s transfer to the Stadio Olimpico.
