Lautaro Martinez is expected to renew his contract at Inter in the next few days. The Italian press reports today that negotiations are well underway, and that a date has even been set for the formalization of the extension.
Lautaro Martinez arrived at Inter Milan in 2018 from Racing Club for 23 million euros, and has established himself as a key component of the Nerazzurri’s set-up. This season, El Toro is even captain of the team coached by Simone Inzaghi. With his contract due to expire in 2026, the Lombardy club are keen to extend his contract. A new contract could run until 2028, with a substantial pay rise. He would earn 7 million a year in fixed salary plus possible bonuses. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that several meetings have already taken place between Ausilio and Marotta and the player’s entourage. The white smoke could come at the end of 2023.
