Diego Milito has praised the qualities of Inter star Lautaro Martinez and believes the striker still has a lot to give in his career.

The 26-year-old Argentinian striker has maintained his impressive form this season, scoring 15 goals and providing two assists in 18 Serie A and Champions League games. This summer, he was promoted to club captain following the retirement of Samir Handanovic. Lautaro is one of Europe’s best centre-forwards, and Inter are now considering offering the Argentine a new long-term contract, thus protecting their star asset. His current contract expires in June 2026 and is worth around 6 million euros net per season.

Speaking to DAZN via Calciomercato.com, Milito began by discussing Lautaro’s growth and abilities as a star striker. “We’ve all seen it, we’re talking about a top-level player.
