Gianluigi Buffon, head of the Italian national team delegation, present at the presentation of the book “Kvaradona. A Georgian Miracle” by Emanuele Giulianelli, spoke about Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or. The former Juventus star has no doubts that the Georgian’s talent can get him there.

“I was immediately intrigued by him (Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Editor’s note…), and he immediately established himself in Italy. Physically, he reminds me of Lentini, that type of player. Maybe Lentini was more of an athletic player, but in the long run, the Georgian has dribbling and movement skills that I haven’t seen in many players. When we talk about the Ballon d’Or in relation to Kvara, we’re telling the truth. Obviously, he’ll have to find the right situation, and as a talent, he’ll be able to compete with the likes of Mbappé and Haaland,” declared Gianluigi Buffon.
