According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus could extend Carlos Alcaraz’s loan for another season, especially if Southampton fail to return to the Premier League.

The Argentine midfielder joined the Bianconeri on loan with an option to buy in the January transfer window and has made four Serie A appearances, starting one game. He is currently out of action with a hamstring injury, but should return to the pitch after the break.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are happy with Alcaraz, but it would be too expensive to sign him permanently from Southampton, as the Old Lady would need €49.5 million to keep him in Turin beyond the summer. Therefore, they can ask Southampton to extend the player’s loan until the end of the 2024-25 season. This isn’t yet a concrete scenario, but Juventus will make an attempt at the end of the season, especially if Southampton don’t return to the Premier League.
