Juventus is in trouble. The club from the city of Turin has been hit with a heavy fine. The club will be stripped of 15 points due to accounting fraud in player transfers.
The Italian Football Federation has announced that Juventus Turin has been sentenced to a 15 point deduction on the current Serie A season. This will bring the club to 10th place with 22 points. Some leaders have not escaped the penalty. Fabio Paratici, the former sporting director of Juve, is banned from the soccer world for two and a half years. Andrea Agnelli, the former president of the club, will get two years. The sports coordinator Federico Cherubini is also banned for one year. Finally, Pavel Nedved, former member of the board of directors is banned from the world of soccer for eight months. Juve has 30 days to appeal and intends to use it.
