Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli has reportedly opened talks with Mario Hermoso’s entourage to explore a deal for the Atletico Madrid player.

The Bianconeri are gearing up for the upcoming summer transfer window, looking for low-cost reinforcements to bolster their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League. In recent weeks, several reports have suggested that top clubs, including Manchester United, are interested in investing in Juventus defender Gleison Bremer, forcing the Old Lady to look for potential replacements. The Brazilian central defender has a price tag of around €60 million. According to Calciomercato.com, Juventus sporting director Giuntoli recently contacted Hermoso’s agents to explore the idea of a free transfer in the summer, with the 28-year-old’s current contract with Atletico Madrid due to expire in June. The Bianconeri are looking for a left-footed defender who is skilful and capable of contributing to the build-up play. His net salary of €4 million per season is also in line with the club’s wage structure, and so far he’s proving more convincing than Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly.
