The situation surrounding Wojciech Szczesny’s future at Juventus is unclear. The Polish goalkeeper’s contract with the Old Lady runs until June 2025. However, there are no guarantees as to whether or not he will be extended, and the trend is towards a departure as early as the end of next season. So, to avoid any surprises, the Bianconeri are securing their rearguard by discussing a possible replacement for the 34-year-old keeper.

Michele Di Gregorio moves ever closer to Juventus. The Bianconeri, who have long been courting the goalkeeper from Monza, also their next league opponent, have reached an agreement in principle with the Nerazzurri-trained keeper. The agreement provides for a five-year contract, expiring in 2029, with a salary of €2 million per season, plus bonuses. The deal could be finalized at the end of the season, in the early hours of the summer mercato. However, the issue of Szczesny’s future still remains to be resolved by the Old Lady’s management.
