Reports in Italy claim that Juventus are ready to send a €45 million bid to sign Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta, while the Dutch midfielder is lobbying for a move to Turin.

Juventus are determined to send an offer for Atalanta midfielder Koopmeiners within the next few hours. Soulé’s imminent €30 million move to Roma and Dean Huijsen’s €18 million transfer to Bournemouth will help Juventus raise funds for a new bid. However, this may not be enough. La Gazzetta dello Sport and Il Corriere dello Sport claim that the Bianconeri are ready to make a €45 million bid to sign the Dutchman, but it remains to be seen whether Atalanta will be prepared to lower their asking price given that they value their midfield star at €60 million. Both newspapers claim that the Koopmeiners will help the Serie A giants in their efforts, pushing Atalanta to accept the offer or at least negotiate with the Bianconeri. The Dutch star had said in March that he wanted to leave Bergamo this summer, but Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi warned the Bianconeri and any other interested clubs last week that Atalanta had never considered selling Koopmeiners. The 26-year-old already has an agreement in principle with Juventus on a contract worth 4.5 million euros a year until June 2029.
