After testing positive for testosterone, a substance banned in soccer, Paul Pogba has been suspended from all football-related activities until further notice. Investigations are still underway and the Frenchman faces a 4-year suspension. Juventus, however, have no intention of abandoning their colt in this ordeal.
Following a test carried out on August 20, the September 11 verdict proved that Paul Pogba had been in contact with testosterone. Pogba disputed this, and a counter-analysis carried out on October 6 produced the same result. La Gazzetta Dello Sport reports that the chemical analysis of the counter-analysis is underway to enable the public prosecutor to deliberate. Paul Pogba faces a suspension of up to 4 years. According to the media, a plea agreement directly with CAS cannot be ruled out, but the approval of Nado Italia and WADA would be required. Juventus are keen to help their player take as few years off as possible. For the time being, we are talking about a two-year suspension.
