Max Allegri insists that Juventus’should be proud’to have amassed 69 points in Serie A, admits that their season did indeed end in Seville and warns not to’throw away’the solid foundations of this team.
“It has been an extraordinary season and we must try to close it with honor in Udine. I wouldn’t wish this season on anyone, seeing points taken away, given back, taken back. It was an abnormal season, that’s obvious to everyone. People say Juventus failed this season, but we still managed to collect 69 points, despite everything that happened. As I said, it’s been an abnormal season, the team has collected 69 points, so we should be proud and thank them for what they’ve done. If what happened off the pitch hadn’t happened, we’d still be qualified for the Champions League. We need to make a calm assessment and realize that there are some good foundations, and not everything has to be thrown away. The biggest mistake would be to get rid of these foundations when building Juventus’s future,” Allegri told DAZN.
