Juventus played host to Hellas Verona on Saturday as part of Serie A matchday 10. The Old Lady won 1-0 in the dying seconds. The result sees them back at the top of Italy’s top flight for the first time since 2020.

Even if the joy may be short-lived, Juventus can rejoice for a few hours. They are back at the top of Serie A. It hasn’t happened for 1182 days and since the last of 9 consecutive championships. You have to go back to August 2020, with Maurizio Sarri on the bench, to see the Piedmont club sitting on top of the championship. This is a first for Massimiliano Allegri since his return to Piedmont in 2021. Juve lead the way with 23 points from 10 matches. Inter are 2nd with 22 points and AC Milan 3rd with 21.
