La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Juventus are in contact with PSG regarding the signing of Manuel Ugarte, who could move to Turin on loan next summer.

Juventus are looking for reinforcements in midfield and could be forced to replace Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie at the end of the season. The Frenchman’s contract expires in June, and McKennie has not reached an agreement to extend his stay beyond 2025. According to Gazzetta, Uruguayan international Ugarte is a target on the Bianconeri’s agenda, and club director Cristiano Giuntoli has already contacted the Ligue 1 giants. Ugarte joined PSG from Sporting CP for €60 million last summer, but has struggled to play this season, making 23 appearances and three assists in Ligue 1. Gazzetta claims that PSG are unlikely to receive a similar offer from any club this summer, including Juventus, so a loan deal could suit all parties concerned. A temporary transfer would also allow Juventus to make a big investment in another central midfielder, such as Ten Koopmeiners, Lazar Samardzic, Martin Zubimendi or Mikel Merino.
