Juventus medical staff confirm that Paul Pogba hasn’t suffered any serious muscle injuries, but Federico Gatti has sprained his ankle.
The Bianconeri got back on track with last night’s 2-0 win at Empoli at the Stadio Castellani, thanks to goals from Danilo and Federico Chiesa. There were concerns in the final minutes when Pogba was seen clutching the back of his thigh and talking intensely with doctors after the match. Fortunately for Juve, the results came back today and Pogba didn’t suffer any injury, just a slight overload of the semimembranosus muscle in his right thigh. However, there is worse news for Italian international defender Gatti, who has sprained his left ankle. Gatti was not included in new coach Luciano Spalletti’s squad for the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifiers against Northern Macedonia and Ukraine.
