Juventus Turin are in the midst of a major rebuilding process, with Cristiano Giuntoli taking over as the club’s new Sporting Director. The dossier at the top of the pile is that of Leonardo Bonucci. Juve want the 36-year-old defender to leave and already know who his replacement will be.
Plagued by several injuries last season, Leonardo Bonucci played very little last season for the Old Lady. In view of his age, the club is keen to release him. Newcastle United have reportedly shown an interest in his profile, while MLS clubs made enquiries last summer. Juve management will meet the defender next week to discuss his future. In the event of his departure, the Italian club is considering Aymeric Laporte as a possible successor.
