Juventus give Matias Soule an ultimatum

Juventus have given Matias Soule an ultimatum as Roma and Leicester City battle for his signature in the transfer market.

Both the Giallorossi and the Foxes have submitted offers to the Old Lady for the 21-year-old, with the latter offering better terms than Daniele De Rossi’s side. Things aren’t quite so simple for Juventus, however, as the Argentine talent has taken a firm stance. Soule has already agreed to join Roma and has made it clear that he isn’t interested in a move to Leicester City, leaving Juventus in a difficult situation as they look to sell the talented striker before reinvesting that money to sign Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta. Corriere dello Sport details how there was a meeting between Soule and Juventus directors, where they made it clear that the player must either accept a fair offer from the Premier League or be relegated to the next generation team, apparently ruling out a move to Roma. The 21-year-old didn’t back down and reportedly suggested that he would only leave the club for the Giallorossi. Technically, Soule isn’t eligible to play for Juventus Next Gen in Serie C because he’s already played more than 50 Serie A games.
