According to Tuttosport newspaper, Juventus are hoping to beat off Premier League clubs interested in Teun Koopmeiners by offering him a leading role in the team and the chance to play in next year’s Club World Cup.

Koopmeiners revealed that he had asked Atalanta to sell him at the end of the season, confirming the interest of Juventus and Premier League clubs. La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Liverpool are among the Premier League clubs interested in the Dutch midfielder, but Manchester United and Tottenham are also keen. The interest of these three clubs is not necessarily bad news for Juventus, as none of them will be playing in the Club World Cup in 2025, unlike the Bianconeri. Next year, Manchester City and Chelsea will represent the Premier League in the United States, two clubs that are not interested in the Atalanta star. As reported by Tuttosport, Juventus are hoping that the opportunity to play in the World Cup per club will persuade the Koopmeiners to join the Bianconeri rather than switch to the Premier League in the summer. At the same time, Juventus would offer him a leading role in the team. Finally, he would remain in Italy, where he and his family have lived for the past three years. Koopmeiners’s contract at the Gewiss stadium expires in June 2027, and Atalanta’s asking price is €60 million.
