According to Il Corriere dello Sport, José Mourinho is keen to know Roma’s plans regarding his contract extension and the Special One could have met owner Dan Friedkin in Portugal .
Mourinho is expected to remain in the capital until the end of his contract in 2024, but according to Il Corriere dello Sport, he is eager to know the club’s long-term plans for his future. Roma directors are currently busy on the transfer market, trying to cash in on 30 million euros by the end of the month to comply with FFP regulations. The report states that Roma are in financial difficulties, so they are making their assessment before offering Mourinho a new long-term contract. On the other hand, the coach wants guarantees on a long-term project, but there is no doubt that he will remain in charge in 2023-24.
