José Mourinho’s dispute with Italian referees is not about to end. On the eve of the match between Sassuolo and Roma last weekend, the Italian coach underlined his concern about the integrity of the referee appointed for the match. Today, the Federal Football Prosecutor’s Office is outraged and has asked the Special One to send in his defence for what is considered to be yet another referee aggression.
José Mourinho is due to appear before the Football Federation’s Public Prosecutor’s Office again soon. This, because of his recent statements questioning the referee of Sassuolo – Roma. Corriere Dello Sport even speaks of an unbearable climate in Rome. The former Chelsea coach has three days to submit his defence and could face another suspension. This time, the Portuguese is not alone. Thiago Motta, who spoke out against refereeing after Lecce – Bologna, has four days to defend himself. The Italian is also facing sanctions.
