Carlos Alcaraz, the young Argentine prodigy, held his very first press conference as a new Juventus player.
“I always chose Juve, great players and great names have passed through here. I’ve been here for a week, that’s true. I’m very happy, I’m doing well. I’m already in the group and training. They gave me a very warm welcome. I play well in midfield. But also as a false 9. Now that I’m playing on the inside, on the right flank, I feel good. I play on the right as well as on the left, and I really like that position. I’m ready to play wherever I’m needed. I want my name to be remembered at Juve. Ronaldo is my main source of inspiration. Today, I want to show my family that dreams can come true. I’ve always loved Juve, it’s a great club. The best players who have played here, including the Argentinians, have always attracted me. Now that I’m here, the expectations are very high. I’ve arrived in a group where there are a lot of good, top-level players. I really enjoy working with him in training and I think I’m learning a lot. I knew that when I came to Juve, I wouldn’t have any Argentinian team-mates. But I knew Danilo, Bremer and Alex Sandro. Danilo asked me how I felt, and I told him I was nervous. He comforted me, told me to stay calm, the team is like a family and that’s what I felt on my skin. They involve me, they talk to me, everything’s fine,” declared Alcaraz.
