Mehdi Taremi has been courted by Inter Milan since last summer, and could join the Lombardy giants in the coming winter mercato. In an interview with SportItalia, Iran’s assistant coach Rahman Rezaei confirmed the Iranian striker’s desire to join the European vice-champion.
“He (Mehdi Taremi, editor’s note…) feels it’s the right time to change and make another leap into a big team. Mentally, he’s ready, he was already ready this summer, even if in the end it wasn’t possible to close the deal that took him to Serie A. He was ready to go to Milan, I could see him there, but in any team in general,” declared Rahman Rezaei. For the time being, however, Inter have yet to reach an agreement with FC Porto. This could happen during the January transfer window.
