In an official press release, the Italian Football Federation announces that it has submitted a joint bid with Turkey to host Euro 2032.

“Following a complex and fruitful consultation process, the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC) and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) have decided to join forces and submit a joint bid to UEFA for the organization of UEFA EURO 2032. Previous successes (EURO 2020, EURO 2012, EURO 2008), as well as future bid proposals (United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland for EURO 2028) and the exciting projects already awarded (United States of America, Mexico and Canada for the UEFA EURO 2032 Cup), will enable us to build on this success;America, Mexico and Canada for the FIFA World Cup 2026) show that sharing events of this scale represents, on the one hand, a means of directly involving a greater number of supporters and, on the other, the quest for an even more effective and sustainable project. If UEFA accepts the proposal presented today, the selection of the host sites (from among those already officially designated) and the definition of the tournament match schedule, on which the two federations propose a division on an equal basis while respecting the autonomy of each other’s competences, will be postponed to a later evaluation,” reads the press release.
