According to RMC Sport in France, Napoli have contacted Christophe Galtier after and are giving Rudi Garcia just four games to turn things around or face sacking.
The Partenopei won their first Scudetto in over 30 years, but lost coach Luciano Spalletti and thought he could be easily replaced. That hasn’t quite worked out yet, as the season has started with dismal results, including two points from the last three Serie A games. Victor Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia have both voiced their disagreement with their replacement, while fans are calling for Garcia to be sacked. RMC Sport now claims that president Aurelio De Laurentiis is back in contact with Galtier to discuss the possibility of taking over Garcia’s reins if the situation doesn’t improve over the next four games. Galtier was on the shortlist for the job before Garcia was hired this summer, after being sacked by Paris Saint-Germain. He has also been linked with struggling Olympique de Marseille, and at the moment it is only an exploratory approach from Napoli, but they were already in talks a few months ago.
