According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan are in talks with West Ham over the signing of Italian international Gianluca Scamacca, who may leave the Hammers on loan.

Scamacca has been a long-time target of the Rossoneri, who already tried to buy him from Sassuolo last summer before a €36 million transfer to West Ham. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara, who know Scamacca from his time in the youth sector of Roma, have already started talks with West Ham. The Hammers are reportedly eager to loan Scamacca in 2023-24 and are already looking for a new center forward to replace the Italian. Negotiations are still at a preliminary stage, but according to the report, AC Milan are keen to sign Scamacca on loan with an option or obligation to buy. Alvaro Morata and Noah Okafor are also on Diavoli’s agenda, but Scamacca appears to be AC Milan’s priority target to strengthen their attack in 2023-24.
