Carlo Ancelotti, who played for and coached AC Milan, has won numerous Champions League titles. Four in all. He lifted the title in 1989 and 1990 as a player, before winning two more trophies in 2003 and 2007 as head coach. However, he believes it will be difficult for the Rossoneri to win the European title today, and gives his reasons.
“It’s difficult for AC Milan to win the Champions League, because the economic aspect is very important in today’s soccer. It’s difficult to compete with teams who have greater economic potential than you do. If you can’t buy the most expensive players on the market, you have to plan a lot more to get there,” the current Real Madrid coach told Radio Serie A.
