Cristian Stellini, Antonio Conte’s assistant, was in charge of Tottenham for several weeks this season during his compatriot’s sick leave. At the end of the season, he gave his assessment of the season to Tutto Mercato Web. Among other things, he describes the season as a difficult one, and explains why.
“The experience you gain from being close to top-level professionals’helps you gain experience at certain times. It’s been a difficult season, I think it’s never been lived like this, because it was crowned with a thousand problems and dramatic situations. Ventrone’s death was devastating for us, and with the World Cup in between, everything was generally difficult. Mr Conte was also ill, so it was very complicated. It’s a year that will help everyone for the future,” said Cristian Stellini.
