Inter are ready to let Denzel Dumfries leave this summer and have identified two possible replacements for the Manchester United-bound Dutch full-back.
The Nerazzurri were head and shoulders above their Serie A rivals this season, comfortably making it to the 20th Scudetto in their history, an achievement that earned them their second star. The club has now started work on a busy 2024-25 campaign. Simone Inzaghi doesn’t want to lose any key players from his Inter squad this summer, and has asked the club management not to sell 16 or 17 players considered central to his project in the Lombardy capital. Tuttosport and Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW detail how the Nerazzurri have identified two intriguing targets who could be brought in this summer to replace Dumfries, if he’s sold to Manchester United or another interested club. The first target is Emil Holm from Spezia, currently on loan at Atalanta, who hold an option to buy the talented 23-year-old for €8.3 million. The other option is Yukinari Sugawara of AZ Alkmaar, who has impressed the Nerazzurri directors.
