Edin Dzeko has released an image of his time in a Manchester City shirt after his former club qualified for the Champions League final against his current team, Inter.
The 37-year-old Bosnian international played a key role in securing qualification for the June 10 clash in Istanbul. Now, Dzeko will battle Romelu Lukaku for the opportunity to start that final at the Ataturk Stadium next month. He wore the Manchester City shirt from 2011 to 2015, when he came to Italy for Roma, and then moved to Inter practically for free in the summer of 2021. So far this season, Dzeko has scored 14 goals and provided five assists, including four goals in 12 Champions League games. His contract is due to expire on June 30 and it remains to be seen if he could end this season by lifting the Champions League trophy.
