Inter president Steven Zhang faces jail, club could be sold

It’s the big news of the day. Steve Zhang, the president of Napoli, is linked in a multi-million dollar debt case. He is expected to appear before courts in Milan and Hong Kong. In case of insolvency, he faces a minimum of three months in prison.

The information comes from Tuttosport. The Italian media informs that the China Construction Bank claims nearly 300 million dollars of debt to the president of the Lombard club. A hearing will be held at the court in Milan on April 19. Later on April 24 and May 10, President Zhang will travel to Hong Kong for further trials. According to another Il Sore 24 Ore source, there is also a financial dispute with Oaktree, which claims the president a sum of 300 million euros to be repaid within 13 months. In case of insolvency, the group would become the new owner of Inter.
