Inter are reportedly ready to reward Matteo Darmian with a two-year extension to his current contract.

The versatile defender is tied to the club until the end of the season, and there is already an option to extend for a further year. However, Tuttosport and Tuttomercatoweb report that the club is keen to lock him up for a longer period until June 2026. Darmian has become a key figure for Simone Inzaghi, as he can play as a right-back, left-back, central defender or in a more advanced role. Since arriving at Inter from Parma initially on loan in 2020 and then on a permanent basis for €3.3 million, Darmian has enjoyed a second wave of career success, mirroring his early days in Turin and Manchester United.
