L’Inter have taken legal action against DigitalBits owners Zytara before the Milan court, after failing to pay the agreed sponsorship fee.
Calcio e Finanza details how the crypto-currency platform was supposed to pay the Nerazzurri around 31.4 million euros after a deal was struck that saw them become the new main shirt sponsors. No money was ever paid and Inter ended the season without a sponsor. Inter were furious at the loss of revenue and have now taken legal action against DigitalBits owner Zytara, presenting an injunction to the Milan court. This claim has now been accepted and the next steps will take place soon. Roma had also entered into a sponsorship agreement with DigitalBits and they too did not receive any payments, leading them to abandon the sponsorship as well.
