Tests carried out on Stefan De Vrij and Denzel Dumfries revealed muscular injuries in both Inter defenders, and according to Sky Sport Italia, they will be out of action for around 20 days.
“Stefan De Vrij and Denzel Dumfries underwent medical examinations and tests this morning at the Istituto Humanitas in Rozzano, following injuries sustained during Sunday night’s match against Napoli. They revealed that the Dutch defender had a strain in the adductor muscles of the left thigh, and the Dutch winger had a strain in the flexor muscles of the left thigh. Both Nerazzurri players will be reassessed next week”, said the Nerazzurri in a press release. According to Sky Sport Italia, both players will remain out of action for around 20 days. Dumfries has two goals and four assists in 16 appearances for Inter this season, while his compatriot De Vrij played 17 games in all competitions in 2023-24.
