According to recent reports, Inter are still in contact with Lille defender Tiago Djalo regarding a possible move to the San Siro, having already planned to sign him during the recent transfer windows.
As Calciomercato.com points out, Inter targeted Djalo over the course of last year, but a cruciate ligament injury sustained in March ruled out a transfer in the summer window. The 23-year-old is now in the final year of his contract at Lille, meaning Inter could potentially come back with a low-priced offer in January, or wait until Djalo is available as a free agent next summer. Calciomercato reports that Inter are still in contact with the Portuguese central defender, who is now said to be recovering from his knee injury. Tuesday’s report suggests that the Nerazzurri have already discussed financial terms, and that a formal agreement could easily be reached should the move continue.
