Inter Milan are close to completing the signing of the first Iranian in the club’s history, Mehdi Taremi. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, after a period of uncertainty and negotiations, it seems that the player has confirmed his priority to join the Nerazzurri.
Currently in Qatar to take part in the Asian Cup with Iran, Taremi has already informed his current club Porto that he will not extend his contract, which expires in June. Inter Milan are reportedly ready to offer him a three-year contract worth €3 million a year, with the option of leaving a season early. Taremi is known for his versatility as a striker, capable of playing as both first and second striker, a profile that would be of interest to Italian tactician Simone Inzaghi.
