Inter and AC Milan had begun discussions to build a joint budget, a modern stadium to host home games of both teams. But the last news, the Nerrazzuri have withdrawn, preferring to stay at San Siro.

The San Siro stadium has been hosting the home games of AC Milan and Inter Milan for decades. With a capacity of over 80,000 seats, the stadium opened in 1926 and is getting old. Despite renovations, it no longer meets the standards of modern stadiums today. This has prompted the resident clubs to think about building a new stadium. The two teams agreed on the financing conditions. According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri have decided to act alone for the construction of the stadium. This would have pushed the Interistas to decide not to leave the old stadium.
