Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has opened up about ongoing contract negotiations and the future of coach Simone Inzaghi.

The Nerazzurri’s fine momentum has come to a halt over the last week, starting with their painful exit from the Champions League Round of 16 at the hands of Atletico Madrid. This clearly dampened their spirits, as Inzaghi’s team lacked their usual killer instinct in their 1-1 draw with Napoli on Sunday. Despite the difficulties, Inter are only a few weeks away from securing a historic 20th league title, which will earn them their second Scudetto star. Speaking to Rai 2 viaCalciomercato.com, Inter’s CEO was asked about the various contract discussions underway. “These are questions that interest you more than us. There’s no problem when positions converge to continue. That’s the case with Lautaro Martinez, and it will certainly be the same with Inzaghi because Inter has grown and today he’s a winning coach. We would like him to stay, he has a contract until 2025 and the conditions are there for him to stay,” he declared.
