Inter are hoping to conclude a deal with West Ham United for Gianluca Scamacca, worth €25 million plus bonuses.
The center-forward was only signed a year ago from Sassuolo for 36 million euros plus up to 6 million euros in bonuses, and the Neroverdi also retained a 10% discount on future selling costs.
Inter have had an initial offer of 20 million euros rejected, but several Italian sources note that they’re confident of quickly reaching a deal at 25 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses. In particular, Sky Sport Italia reports that while negotiations are continuing between the clubs, Roma have not reacted in any way. They had been trying for weeks to obtain a loan deal for Scamacca with an option to buy, which would become an obligation if they qualified for the Champions League. The Giallorossi are not in a position to outbid Inter for the Italian international, or even to offer a permanent transfer.
