At the end of Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Inter in the Champions League final, Pep Guardiola praised the Nerrazzuri. For the Catalan coach, Simone Inzaghi has a great team. He also made a point of mentioning André Onana, who has impressed him.
“First of all, congratulations to Inter, they’re a great team. We expected such a match, the Nerazzurri deserved to be there. It seemed as if Manchester City’s Champions League victory this year was already written in stone, but that’s never the case. After the many disappointments of recent years, we managed to win the Champions League this year. However, Inter aren’t there by chance. Against Onana, it’s very difficult because of his ability to play with his feet. Inter need to think that they are the second strongest team in Europe today. Sport is like that, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose,” declared the Manchester City coach.
