Inter have finalized an agreement with Sampdoria to sign Emil Audero on loan with an option to buy.

The goalkeeper will be their second choice behind Yann Sommer, effectively replacing Samir Handanovic in the team. According to Sky Sport Italia, it will be a loan deal with an option to buy for 6.5 million euros plus 0.5 million euros in bonuses. Audero has already signed a three-year contract worth around 1.2 million euros per season plus supplements, which is not dissimilar to his salary at Sampdoria. Audero is 26 years old and came through Juventus’s youth academy, on loan to Venice before making the transfer from Sampdoria permanent for a total of 21 million euros in 2019.
