Lautaro Martinez has decided to accept a new long-term contract with Inter, extending his stay until June 2029, according to Sky Sports Italia.

The 26-year-old Argentinian striker played a leading role in the Nerazzurri’s historic success in their 20th Scudetto under Simone Inzaghi this season, scoring 24 goals and providing six assists in 33 league games, earning him the Serie A MVP award for the 2023-24 season. Lautaro has just over two years left on his current contract with Inter, prompting the club to start work on a new long-term deal to tie down its star striker. His agent Alejandro Camano has been in close contact with the Nerazzurri directors to try and reach an agreement. As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sports Italia, Lautaro Martinez has decided to prove his love to Inter by accepting their latest offer, a five-year contract worth around €9 million net per season plus add-ons. Only the final details remain before everything is finalized, binding the Argentinian striker to the Nerazzurri until June 2029.
