Once team-mates at Bayern Munich, Yann Sommer and Benjamin Pavard have been playing for Inter Milan since the summer. Speaking to the Italian press, the Swiss keeper praised the French international, whom he described as a complete player.
“Pavard fits into a great defense. I’m impressed by his completeness, because he’s not just the defender who reads the situation and marks the man, but who starts with the ball and sees the goal. Only the coach decides on his position, in Munich he was more of a full-back and now maybe he’ll play central defender in a different formation, but it’s still good to have players capable of playing so many roles,” Yann Sommer told La Gazzetta Dello Sport.
