“I’m not a fan of his soccer”, a former Roma player lets loose on Mourinho

Walter Sabatini, former sporting director of Roma, has given an interview to the Gazzetta Dello Sport. He talks about the current team of the Giallorossi and in particular about the soccer philosophy of José Mourinho.

For Walter Sabatini, José Mourinho does not play good soccer. The Italian manager has made it known that he doesn’t like his philosophy of play. But he likes the way the Portuguese rallies all his players to his cause to make a compact team. “He plays speculative soccer. Mourinho is pragmatic. I am not a fan of his soccer, but he manages to shape the team and get them to commit to his project. You always know what kind of game AS Roma will play,” said the former Lazio sporting director.
