Scorned by many after a turbulent summer, Romelu Lukaku is proving, to anyone who will listen, that he remains a formidable goalscorer. The Belgian international is back to his best, and making a difference.

The Giallorossi hadn’t won on their Serie A travels for six months, but went wild in Sardinia yesterday. Lukaku has now scored seven goals in just eight official games for Roma since his loan spell at Chelsea. “Roma is Roma, as I said earlier, we are a team and we have to improve. We are in a difficult position, but we want to do better for the fans, the city, this whole group of people behind us. I’m a professional. A lot of people have talked about me, but I talk on the pitch. I’m happy with the way things are going and I want to carry on like this. Dybala has helped me a lot, he’s the most important player in the team and we hope he recovers as soon as possible,” he told DAZN.
