Legendary former coach Arrigo Sacchi has opened up about Italy’s chances at Euro 2024, explaining how the team “can go forward” with humility and sacrifice.

“We came from two missed World Cups, even though we won the European Championship in the middle, but that intensity was lost. Now it’s up to us. If the players modestly follow what Spalletti says, that’s fine. Otherwise, we won’t go far. The players have to do what he says, without arguing. You can’t invent automatic mechanisms in about 10 days, but I hope Spalletti concentrates on the most reliable ones, those who give everything and perhaps play strategic soccer at their clubs. There aren’t many, Inter don’t always block, but this year they have increased.
