Romelu Lukaku joined Roma last summer after leaving Inter. The latter considered him a bargain, as a contract was being negotiated to keep him in Lombardy. Currently with the Belgian Red Devils, the centre-forward admitted in a press conference that there was certainly a lot left unsaid. The truth, he said, would shock everyone.
“Most of the people in the room know me. You know, I don’t like to skirt around a subject. I’ll speak in time, but if I really said how last summer went, everyone would be shocked. There were times when I really thought I might explode. I probably would have five years ago. Now, I’m concentrating on what I do best: playing soccer. I worked hard all summer. I must also thank Radja Nainggolan for putting me in touch with Roma,” said Romelu Lukaku from Belgium’s international retirement.
