Fabio Cannavaro, former soccer legend, has given an interview to DAZN. The 2006 Ballon d’Or winner revealed that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was very close to signing for Napoli, a city he particularly likes.
“We went for a ride on a Vespa in the streets of Naples, it is true. Ibra is in love with Naples, he has always said so. And maybe he regrets a little that he never played Maradona,” Cannavaro admitted. The 2006 world champion also gave the reasons for the failure of the operation. “De Laurentiis (President of Napoli) wanted to take him to Naples, then Gattuso stopped the deal,” continued the Italian legend.
