“I will never get carried away”, De Katelaere responds to critics

Arrived in Milan last summer from Brugge, Charles De Ketelaere has not lived up to the expectations placed on him. The one who is seen as the new Ricardo Kaka, is struggling to take off. Lynched by critics from everywhere, he revealed that he is not affected. He focuses only on his season, and does not even read the newspapers.

“I never focused on the critics. At Brugge I also received a lot of positive and negative criticism. At AC Milan, the comments were first positive and then they became negative. I will never let negative criticism get to me, just as I will not let it get to me if it ever becomes positive. Many teammates advised me not to read the newspapers, so I didn’t even know about the title ‘Prince of San Siro’,” Charles De Ketelaere told Het Laatste Nieuws.
