On the sidelines of Inter’s match with Monza on the first day of Serie A, Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi spoke at a pre-match press conference. He touched on a number of subjects, including Romelu Lukaku’s departure. He revealed that he was determined to keep hold of the Belgian center-forward.
“I’ve already spoken about it, I thank him for what’he gave us last year: I wanted him with all my strength and I’d still want him now. I’m sorry for the way it ended, because he was welcomed by the Inter family in the best possible way,” said Simone Inzaghi at a press conference.
