Roma star Paulo Dybala admits it’s “difficult” to live outside Italy, but he’s “curious” to see how he would fare in La Liga or the Premier League.
“I’ve been in Italy for almost 12 years and I’m having an incredible time. It’s difficult for me to see myself outside Italy because I’ve grown up and become a man here. Italy has given me everything. It would be difficult to leave, but of course you always have the curiosity and wonder how you would fare in leagues as good as La Liga and the Premier League, where there are great teams and great players. Throughout my career, I’ve always tried to improve, both on and off the pitch. I’ve changed a lot of people on my staff; my trainer, my nutritionist, my psychologist; everything to help me perform better in every match and in training. I haven’t won a Champions League or Europa League, but that will always be my goal. I want to win everything I can with Roma. I was confident of being part of the team, so it was a very hard blow for me to take because being part of the national team is one of the best things ever. But I also understand that it’s difficult for our coach to choose. I respect his decision. I’ve always told him that. I have an excellent relationship with him and he has certainly chosen the best for the team. I’ll be cheering from home, as I always do when I’m not with the team. I have a lot of friends in the team and I hope with all my heart that they can win the Copa America again,” he declared.
